They are made having an infrared heating unit, load cell for weight measurement, & a platform for placing materials. These balances operate by first noting actual weight of material then drying it with continuous measurements to detect moisture content value. Infrared Moisture Balances are programmed with integrated database that has ability to store up to 50 drying procedures.
